Sabine Steiner’s 2015 Pinot Noir Tribolettes has a delicate bouquet of red berries, floral and stony aromas. The ruby-garnet colored wine is full-bodied, round and silky on the palate, provided with fine tannins and nice acidity. This is a very gentle and elegant Pinot Noir with an intense, well-concentrated and cleansing finish. Tasted in Zurich, August 2017.

Pinot Noir Buurehöf – Weingut Steiner – 2015 -89+/100 – Drink 2022 – 2030

Aged for 24 months in small French barrels, the ruby colored 2015 Pinot Noir Buurehof opens with a pure and fine but very aromatic cassis bouquet intertwined with floral aromas. Full-bodied and smooth on the palate, this is a generous, intense, silky textured Pinot Noir from calcareous soils. The finish is concentrated, long, well-structured and reveals of lot of coconut chocolate flavors. Still young and as such a combination of sweet fruit and dry tannins, the 2015 will benefit from further bottle aging.
